Terms of Service
Effective date: 10 March 2026
NB-19 LTD (Company Number 13231427), trading as Barnveil. Basecamp Liverpool, 49 Jamaica St, Liverpool, L1 0AH.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Barnveil ("we", "us", "our"). Barnveil is a trading name of NB-19 LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 13231427). By accessing or using our website at barnveil.com and any associated services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services.
2. About Barnveil
Barnveil is a UK digital privacy service. We map your digital footprint across data brokers, public registries, breach databases, dark web sources, social platforms, and open records, then act on your behalf to remove, suppress, or restrict what's exposed.
Our work is protective and preventative. We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, credit decisions, or profiling. We do not hack accounts or access private systems.
3. Use of Services
You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable UK or international law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or our systems
- Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
- Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm another person
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any part of the Services without our express written permission
4. Digital Exposure Assessments
Our Digital Exposure Assessment is a structured investigation of your online footprint and a subsequent removal programme. By commissioning an Assessment, you confirm that you are requesting the work for yourself or for a person who has given explicit consent, that you will not use the resulting report for unlawful surveillance or to harm any individual, and that you understand findings are based on data accessible at the time of the investigation and may not be exhaustive.
4.1 Scope of Investigation
We search across data brokers and people-search sites, public registries, known breach databases, dark web sources, social media platforms, and open public records. We collect only what is needed to identify and remove your exposure.
4.2 Deliverables
Each engagement includes three deliverables:
- Exposure report: a full map of where your personal data appears
- Risk assessment: a severity rating across each category of exposure
- Practical guidance: clear next steps to reduce ongoing risk
4.3 Removal Actions
Where removal is agreed, we provide ready-to-use email templates for you to send and, with your authorisation, submit requests on your behalf directly to third parties holding your data.
4.4 Limitations
We cannot guarantee that all third parties will comply with removal requests, or that data removed will not reappear through future data sharing or breach events. Third-party response times sit outside our control.
5. Consent & Authority
To deliver the Services, you give Barnveil explicit consent to process your personal data for the purpose of digital exposure mapping and removal. You also authorise Barnveil to act on your behalf when contacting third-party companies, data brokers, marketing providers, and website operators to request the removal, suppression, or restriction of your personal data.
Consent is given by signing our Data Protection & Consent Agreement before work begins. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@barnveil.co.uk. Withdrawal stops further processing but does not reverse actions already taken on your behalf.
6. Payment and Refunds
Fees for our services are as stated on our website at the time of purchase. All prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payments are processed securely through our payment provider.
Due to the nature of investigative and research work, we do not offer refunds once an Assessment has commenced. If you have concerns about a completed report, please contact us and we will review in good faith.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, reports, branding, and materials produced by Barnveil remain the intellectual property of NB-19 LTD unless expressly assigned in writing. Reports produced for you may be used for your own personal or internal business purposes but may not be resold or distributed without our prior written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Barnveil shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of our Services. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We do not guarantee that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information obtained through the Services will be accurate or complete.
9. Third-Party Services
Our Services may interact with or reference third-party platforms and data sources. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party services. Inclusion of any third-party link or reference does not constitute an endorsement.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
